Ali's Story:

Ali is 4 years old and the most curious of his friends. He loves drawing and listening to stories about animals. However, he often has problems with his mother because there is not enough space and materials at home for such activities.

Together we will create a safe and educational space for Ali where he can draw, listen to stories, and develop his imagination.

Elif's Story:

Elif is 5 years old and one of the most social children at the daycare center. She loves drama activities and singing. However, since there is not enough play space at home and her family is busy, she cannot find enough opportunities to express this energy. While her peers enjoy drama games, Elif stays away from these activities.

We will create a space for Elif to participate in drama, music, and play activities. Thus, we will raise future artists and leaders together.

Kindergarten Project for the Little Ones

Many children like Ali and Elif have difficulties in social and emotional development because they do not have enough educational and play materials at home.

With this project, we are developing children's creativity and social skills so that they can better integrate into education and social life.

Why is it important?

In Esenyurt, 9 out of every 10 children do not have a place to play at home.

According to research conducted in Turkey, investments in preschool education increase children's school success and social skills by 70% (MoNE, 2021). Similarly, research by Nobel Prize-winning economist James Heckman shows that every $1 invested in preschool education generates $8 in economic gains for society. These findings show that early education is the most profitable investment for both individuals and society.

What Will We Do?

01.10.2024 - 01.06.2025

• Establish a safe and educational space where children can play and learn.
• Ensure that each child participates in creative play and learning activities for 1 hour, 2 days a week.
• Organize group activities and guidance sessions to support the social and emotional development of each child.

Who Will Participate?

40 children between the ages of 3-6 living in Esenyurt with limited access to play and educational materials.

Project Budget:

Monthly Project Cost for 1 Child: 800 TL (approx. 20 GBP)

• Full-Time Kindergarten Instructor
• 5 Play Sets and Educational Materials
• Paint and Paper Materials for Visual Arts
• Equipment Required for Play and Learning Space Setup

-We receive donations in TL as the service fee for donations in foreign currencies is a flat 9 British Pounds.
