Hello Dear Friends,
As you may have heard, the Turkish government has passed a new law to collect all the stray animals from streets and place them in kill shelters. Over the last two weeks, we have been watching dogs and cats being tortured and killed in the most heartbreakingly horrible ways you can imagine. Animal lovers in and out Turkey are working very hard to save as many lives as possible by fostering them temporarily and trying to find new families for these innocent, abandoned animals.
We are running a fundraising campaign to support one of the charities (HEPAD) that is committed to improving the lives of these animals by rescuing abandoned animals in the streets and forests and caring for them until they find their new homes. HEPAD believes that sterilization is critical, so veterinarians neuter every animal in their care in their clinic. They are also vaccinated and tested for rabies. HEPAD takes in some of the worse animal cases of neglect and abuse.
Any donation, no matter how small, will make a substantial difference to save more animals from streets and giving better care for the dogs/cats that are already in the care of HEPAD. It is really challenging and this is one of the animal protection charities that are fighting against the clock to save as many dogs/cats from the streets of Turkey before it's too late
