Personal Data Protection Statement(KuzeyDoga)
With this clarification text, KuzeyDoğa Association explains the scope in which it processes personal data of its valued followers, members, volunteers, volunteer candidates, participants, donors, employees, stakeholders, and other third parties whose data it processes. This is done with full respect for the privacy of personal life, in accordance with Article 10 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (dated March 24, 2016) and the Communiqué on Principles and Procedures to Be Followed in the Fulfillment of the Obligation to Inform. We attach great importance to the security of your personal information that you provide to us, whether through our website or by other means.
Definitions
Law on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK): The Turkish Law No. 6698 dated March 24, 2016.
Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
KuzeyDoğa Association: A non-governmental organization located at Ortakapı Mah. Şehit Yusuf Bey Cad. No:67 Kat:1, 36100 Merkez, Kars, Türkiye.
Data Subject: A natural person whose personal data is processed (including any user who fills out project, education, meeting, seminar, volunteer, or donation-related forms on KuzeyDoğa Association’s website (www.kuzeydoga.net) either on their own behalf or on behalf of an affiliated institution).
Data Processor: A real or legal person who processes personal data on behalf of the data controller, based on the authority granted by the data controller.

The personal data you share as a stakeholder, member, volunteer, donor, participant, project partner, and/or as an employee/manager of the association will be evaluated within the scope detailed below by KuzeyDoğa Association, the designated data controller.
Purpose of Personal Data Processing
The personal data you share in your capacity as a member, volunteer, candidate, participant, donor, recipient of training, stakeholder, or employee/manager will be processed in accordance with Articles 4, 5, and 6 of the KVKK.
Your personal data will be processed based on the following principles:
a) Being lawful and in accordance with the rules of honesty,
b) Being accurate and up to date when necessary,
c) Being processed for specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes,
d) Being relevant, limited, and proportionate to the purposes for which they are processed,
e) Being retained for the period required by the relevant legislation or for the purpose for which they are processed.
Data processing will be carried out for the following purposes, among others:
To establish and maintain communication with volunteers and members regarding the association’s activities,
To receive and evaluate volunteer and member applications,
To maintain data records in compliance with the Law of Associations and other applicable laws,
To provide updates on the association’s activities,
To perform anonymous statistical analyses without revealing identity,
To inform stakeholders and supporters about activities, innovations, and developments,
To provide information on services or events upon request of the data subject,
To notify about any updates, changes, or expirations in relation to events or web memberships,
To facilitate travel and accommodation arrangements through third parties, when needed for projects or activities,
To support the execution of the association’s activities in line with its official bylaws,
To offer participation in e-newsletters, events, and surveys.
Transfer of Personal Data
In accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, your personal data may be shared with third parties necessary for the continuation of the association’s activities (e.g., program partners, suppliers, contractual bodies, association staff and managers, affiliated institutions, cloud storage and online service providers), legally authorized public institutions and organizations, or institutions abroad, for the purposes listed above.

The personal data provided by the data subject on a voluntary basis will be processed in accordance with the fundamental principles of the KVKK and within the legal grounds set forth in Articles 5 and 6, and as explained in this Clarification Text.
Cookie Policy

Retention Period for Records
Your personal data will be retained for the duration required by relevant legal regulations or for as long as necessary to fulfill the processing purposes described above. Afterward, your data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized in accordance with the KVKK.
Rights of the Data Subject
According to Article 11 of the KVKK, every person has the right to request the following from the data controller:
a) To learn whether their personal data is being processed,
b) To request information if their personal data has been processed,
c) To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is being used appropriately,
d) To know the third parties to whom personal data has been transferred domestically or abroad,
e) To request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data,
f) To request deletion or destruction of personal data under the conditions set forth in Article 7,
g) To request notification of the transactions made under (e) and (f) to third parties to whom the data has been transferred,
h) To object to unfavorable outcomes resulting from the exclusive analysis of data through automated systems,
i) To request compensation if damage is incurred due to unlawful processing of personal data.
