Neighborhood Disaster Volunteers (MAG) are trained in neighborhoods that were put into practice with the protocol of the Ministry of Interior in 2000. It started as a project to create teams of disaster volunteers equipped with and equipped. As of 2000, teams of at least 25 volunteers were established in over 1000 neighborhoods in 40 provinces across Turkey. Volunteer teams were formed in 400 neighborhoods in 38 districts in the province of Istanbul, which awaited the Great Marmara earthquake. We plan to complete MAG teams in 962 neighborhoods in 40 districts by the end of 2024. As a method, by finding at least 25 and maximum 60 volunteers in a neighborhood, we provide 36 hours of Disaster and light search and rescue training under the chairmanship of the Neighborhood Headman, and we ensure that the province and its district are included in the Disaster capacity (Turkey Disaster Response Plan) on a neighborhood basis. We put the container equipped with the equipment in a safe point of the neighborhood and include it in the district TAMP. We connect all teams to AFAD coordination as district MAG Coordination, Provincial MAG coordination on a provincial basis, and Turkey MAG coordination across the country. TAMP is a support solution partner by taking part in AFAD Urban Search and Rescue and Training Accreditation as Provincial teams through MAG Neighborhood Disaster Volunteers Emergency Response Association. MAG carried out Search and Rescue in 6 provinces with its 700 volunteer teams during the 6 February earthquakes and pulled 202 of our citizens alive from the rubble. Previously, he actively worked with our Volunteer teams in the earthquakes of Van Erciş, Kütahya Simav, Çanakkale Ayvacık, Elazığ and İzmir. He worked actively in Kastamonu, Düzce, Sinop flood disasters and Muğla Antalya fires. Your support to our Neighborhood Disaster Volunteers project, which will reduce the loss of life and property in disasters before they happen, by creating Volunteer and equipment capacities in our Disaster Risk Regions and provinces will enable you to be a stakeholder in saving lives. Thank you in advance for your support. Note: Our association does not have any professional employees. All of our volunteers are working on a voluntary basis. Your donations will fully cover the training and equipment costs of the volunteers.
