YGA ekibi olarak 14 yıldır sahada çocuklarla çalışıyoruz. Onlara bilimi sevdiriyoruz, onları bilimle sevindiriyoruz. Çocukların bilim setlerini kullanarak bir probleme çözüp bulduklarında yaşadığı sevinci ve heyecanı sahalarda görmek beni hep çok mutlu ediyor. 

Şimdi de deprem bölgelerindeki çocukların kendilerine ve geleceğe güven duygularını yeniden inşa etmelerine ihtiyacımızın olduğu bu günlerde, bilimin iyileştirici gücüne çok daha büyük ihtiyaç var. 

Geçtiğimiz hafta deprem bölgelerinde, YGA gönüllüleri ve uzman psikologlarla bilim atölyeleri gerçekleştirdik. Deprem bölgesinde tanıştığımız Ali'de ve daha bir çok çocukta  bu dönüşümün yaşandığına hep birlikte tanıklık ettik. Doğal afetlerin bir daha felakete dönüşmemesi için çocukların vicdanlı bilimle buluşması çok önemli. Bilimin önemini hatırlatmak için afetlerin yaşanmasını beklemeyelim, çocukları bilimle yetiştirelim. Bunun için artık vakit kaybetmeyelim.

Bu kapsamda ben de bir YGA gönüllüsü olarak her hafta deprem bölgesindeki çocuklarla bilim atölyeleri düzenlenen sahalara katılıyorum.  Gelin hep beraber görünmeyen yaraları bilimle saralım ve bu anlamlı projede çocuklarımızı bilimle ve umut dolu bir gelecekle buluşturalım. 

Let's heal the invisible wounds with science! 

We, as the YGA team, have been working with children in the field for 14 years. We make them love science, and we bring them joy through science. It always makes me happy to see the excitement and joy that children experience when they solve a problem using science kits in the field.

Now, in these days where we need to rebuild the sense of confidence in themselves and the future for children in earthquake zones, there is an even greater need for the healing power of science.

Last week, we organized science workshops with YGA volunteers and expert psychologists in earthquake zones. We witnessed this transformation in Ali and many other children. Children must meet compassionate science to prevent natural disasters from turning into catastrophes. Let us not wait for disasters to occur to remind ourselves of the importance of science. Let us raise children with science to provide them with a hopeful future. We should not waste any more time.

As a YGA volunteer, I participate in science workshops with children in earthquake zones every week. Let us all come together to heal the unseen wounds with science and bring our children closer to science and a hopeful future in this meaningful project.
